An 1849 survey drawing of "Brookline Farms," the Thomas Handasyd Perkins' estate at 514 Warren Street in Brookline, Mass. Drawing shows the mansion, barn, and extensive garden lots, including greenhouses, belonging to T.H. Perkins. The land and buildings belonging to his son-in-law, Samuel Cabot, at 450 Warren Street, Brookline, and the house and stables of William Howard Gardiner are also represented. Survey identifies the location of such structures as the Billard House, Summer House(s), Ice House, Wash House, Garden House, Hot Beds, Pump, etc. Drawing depicts areas of marshland, wooded regions, ponds, gravel pits, cultivated grounds, and roads. Graphite notations outside of detailed area may indicate neighboring lots and/or street names, e.g. "White," "Spooner," "Leveams?," "Child," and "Heath."
